Range Rover Velar Performance
There are three engines available in the Range Rover Velar, each one suited for your individual needs. The base 4-cylinder engine produces 247 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The supercharged gas engine, a 3.0-liter V6, is able to provide the most kick, at 380 horsepower.
The third engine, a diesel, produces 180 horsepower, but also brings with it outstanding fuel efficiency numbers, at 26 MPG city/30 MPG highway. Standard all-wheel-drive gives Range Rover Velar owners impressive performance both on pavement and in off-roading situations. If you’re heading off the roads, do it in style, with the 9.9 inches of ground clearance and smooth underfloor to avoid snagging. This SUV is also capable of wading in depths up to 25.5 inches.
Plentiful Interior Amenities
This versatile SUV has room for up to five people on soft, cushioned seats. With the panoramic sunroof, even those in the back can enjoy the fresh air and sunlight. Going beyond the standard synthetic leather and suede, a perforated leather and wool-blend leather are able to provide a more luxurious feel. Have cargo and gear to bring along for the ride? There’s enough space in this SUV for all of it. When the split-fold rear seat is down, you’ll have up to 70.1 cu. ft. of cargo space.
A voice recognition system comes standard, so it’s easier to focus on what’s ahead while giving any instruction to the InControl® system. The all-new standard 10-inch dual HD touchscreens display important vehicle information and are easy to interact with, too.
Driver Assistive Technology
The driving experience is made easier by the range of driver assistive features in the 2021 Range Rover Velar.
Standard features include:
- Emergency Braking: This can prevent a collision with a vehicle in front of you, whether with a vehicle or a pedestrian. A camera at the front of the vehicle monitors current conditions. The brakes will be applied to reduce impact severity if you aren’t able to react quickly enough.
- Lane Keep Assist: This applies torque to the steering wheel if it’s detected that the Range Rover Velar is drifting from its lane, so you’re able to guide it back.
- Rear Camera: The camera offers better visibility when putting the vehicle in reverse, with the project path displayed on the touchscreen to assist with parking or hitching a trailer.
